The talented opening batter has already been anointed the 'prince' of Indian cricket by billions of fans and Gill gave them another reason to show that he rightly deserves the title more than anybody else. Shubman Gill's 129 off 60 balls — his third hundred plus knock of the season — propelled Gujarat Titans to a daunting 233/3 against Mumbai Indians here in Qualifier 2 of the IPL here on Friday. The Chief Minister will meet Rahul Gandhi on Friday for a sign-off. On May 20, Siddaramaiah and state Congress President DK Shivakumar took oath as Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. Eight MLAs -- including Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge's son Priyank Kharge -- also took oath along with them for ministerial posts. There, however, has been no allocation of portfolios till now -- a situation that has drawn jeers from the BJP.  The Congress has countered it with a reference to the weeks during the pandemic when then Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa was the only minister in the cabinet. Renovation of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's official residence incurred a total cost of Rs 52.71 crore, according to a "factual report" submitted by the Delhi government's Vigilance Directorate to the lieutenant governor, official sources said on Thursday. The cost of Rs 52.71 crore included Rs 33.49 crore spent on the construction of the house and Rs 19.22 crore on a camp office for the chief minister, the report said, citing records of the Public Works Department (PWD). The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russia's security services knew what they were doing after a top Ukrainian intelligence official said President Vladimir Putin was number one on Kyiv's kill list. Vadym Skibitsky, deputy head of Ukraine's military intelligence service, told Germany's Die Welt newspaper in an interview that Kyiv wanted to assassinate Putin "because he coordinates and decides what happens" in the war and that the Russian leader was aware he topped Ukraine's kill list. The largest insurgent group in the northeast has asked the Meiteis and Kukis in Manipur to ensure the hostilities between them do not affect the Nagas living in the violence-hit state. The Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak-Muivah), or NSCN(IM), in a statement on Thursday said some "Kuki militants" attacked a village where members of the Kom community - a Naga minor tribe - live in Manipur's Kangathei. "Our Meitei brothers and Kukis should not... harass them in any manner. It is a matter of regret that one Kom village Kangathei has come under attack by Kuki militants and forced the villagers to vacate the place," the NSCN(IM) said in a statement.
