Video: Gas Cutter Used To Steal Entire ATM, Thieves Flee With Lakhs In SUV

In a daring heist, a gang has used gas cutters to steal an entire ATM, containing cash worth lakhs, in an Uttarakhand town. A video shows the men taking turns running from the kiosk to their SUV and placing parts of the automated teller machine inside before driving away. "A gang of four to five people used gas cutters to steal a State Bank of India ATM in Dandhera in Haridwar district. The ATM contained cash worth lakhs of rupees but the exact amount will be known from the bank. We are checking CCTV footage. The thieves used a Scorpio to flee," said Haridwar Superintendent of Police (Rural) Swapn Kishore Singh. CCTV footage shows three men wearing shawls and face coverings in an apparent bid to hide their identity. The project for the redevelopment of Dharavi slum in Mumbai was awarded to the Adani Group through a fair, open, and internationally competitive bidding process, and the tender conditions were finalised when the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government was in power, as per a release issued by the group. "It is unfortunate that a concerted effort is being made to disseminate misinformation about certain aspects of the project," the release said after Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday led a march against the business conglomerate which was awarded rights to redevelop Dharavi. Months After Manipur Clashes, 19 Victims Laid To Rest In Mass Burial

Eight months after they were killed in ethnic violence in Manipur, the remains of 19 people belonging to the Kuki Zo community were laid to rest in the state's Kangpokpi district on Friday. Friends and relatives attended the mass burial organised by the Committee on Tribal Unity (COTU) at Phaijang village. Bodies of 87 other members of the tribal community will be buried on December 20 in Churachandpur district, convenor of the Joint Philanthropic Organisations( JPO) Laldawnlian Varte said. Remains of the 19 victims had been lying in morgues for almost eight months in Imphal. They were finally given an "honourable" burial, the organisers said. Mastermind Of Parliament Security Breach Surrenders To Delhi Police

Lalit Jha, the alleged mastermind of the security breach in parliament that shocked the nation, has surrendered. Sources said he had gone to the police station on Kartavya Path (the boulevard renamed 'Path of Duty' in the heart of Delhi) and surrendered. He has been formally arrested and the New Delhi District Police has handed him over to the Special Cell. The Kolkata-based teacher was arrested from Delhi after being on the run for nearly two days.
